Our full service, year round RV Park and campground offers a great experience for everyone, from level pull-thrus for your big rig to comfortable tent campsites. You’ll appreciate our quiet, rural setting, along with our free WI-FI, covered patios and newly remodeled laundry room. We even have a large reunion hall for your camper club gathering.
We have the best location you’ll find in the Black Hills area – 14 miles from Mount Rushmore and 5 miles from Rapid City. Hwy. 16, also known as Mt. Rushmore Road, is well maintained and very easy for our guests to navigate, even with the largest rigs.

Thank you for your interest in Happy Holiday RV Resort. It is our hope that we can make your stay enjoyable! For everyone’s comfort and safety, the following policies have been established.
- All rates are based on two people per site
- Happy Holiday RV Resort is a Good Sam Park
- Credit Card or Check for one day’s deposit required to make a reservation
- We accept personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover
- Rates are subject to change during holidays or special events

We would like to thank you for a pleasant stay and compliment you on your facility and especially your very friendly staff, possibly the friendliest we have encountered anywhere. Your facility was spacious, clean and pleasantly shaded. We particularly thought the little covered “patios” at the site were a welcome addition…Should we have occasion to return to SD…we know where we will be staying!
Billed as one of the highest rated parks in the Black Hills, the Happy Holiday Resort has tons of amenities discriminating RVers look for. Len and Faith Todd stayed there for three days on their way to Alaska. Happy Holiday welcomes all RVs, even the big rigs, and offers full hookup sites with satellite TV, water, electricity and, if you’ve been reading “RVing with Faith Todd” you know this is important, Wi-Fi! They also offer tables, covered patios, and fire rings. If you plan on staying a few days like the Todds, take advantage of the heated pool, basketball courts, game room and convenience store.
